Remembering the Bradford Pals
Peckover Transport were honoured to help deliver a memorial to the Bradford Pals, in time for the 100th anniversary of the beginning of the Battle of the Somme.
Our company was asked by a local First World War history group to step in to deliver the hand carved memorial to the French village of Bus les Artois, where the Pals were billeted before they went over the top on that fateful day, July 1st 1916.
We were happy to do this free on charge as a gesture in memory of the fallen.
At the going down of the Sun, and in the morning, we will remember them.
